About Al Laaiq

We don't just create shade. We create better spaces.

Al Laaiq Shades Industries is a shade structure manufacturer based in the Al Sajaa Industrial Area, Sharjah. We design, engineer, fabricate and install tensile membranes, car parking shades, sail and umbrella structures, and safety products for clients across Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi.

Everything is handled by one team, from the first site survey through structural design, fabrication and installation to handover. That is deliberate: it is the only way to be answerable for how a structure performs in ten years, not just how it looks on the day it goes up.

  • 01

    Surveyed & engineered

Every structure starts on your site, not in a catalogue. We measure, check the ground and the wind, and size the frame to what is actually there.

  • 02

    In-house fabrication

Steel and membrane are cut, welded and patterned in our own Al Sajaa workshop, so tolerances are ours to hold and lead times are ours to keep.

  • 03

    Built to endure

Specified for Gulf heat, salt air and summer wind — hot-dip galvanised frames, PVDF-lacquered membranes, stainless rigging.

What we build

Nine things, done properly.

All services
  • 01 Tensile Shades
Aerial view of a cluster of sage green and sand hyperbolic paraboloid shade sails with circular vents, arranged over a resort courtyard beside a tennis court and pool

Doubly-curved membrane structures engineered as architecture. Every panel is patterned from a form-found model, so the fabric carries its load in tension and holds its shape for its whole service life.

    • PVDF / PVC membrane
    • Form-found patterning
    • Clear spans to 30 m
  • A light steel car parking canopy with layered woven shade panels stepping down over a row of parked cars beside a modern office building

Cantilever, single-post and back-to-back bays sized to your parking layout. Columns sit on the bay line, never between a car and its door, and every canopy is set to drain away from the aisle.

    • Cantilever / post / arch
    • Galvanised steel frame
    • Per-bay or full-lot
  • Large charcoal and green shade sails on timber-toned posts covering a desert park playground with slides and climbing structures, mountains on the horizon

High-tension sails set at alternating heights so the play surface stays covered as the sun moves. Knitted HDPE blocks up to 98% of UV while letting the prevailing wind pass straight through.

    • Knitted HDPE
    • Up to 98% UV block
    • Impact-rated footings
  • Fig. — Covered assembly walkway, elevation

Assembly areas, walkways and drop-off zones covered to keep them usable through the middle of the day. Detailed with no reachable sharp edges and installed to a schedule that works around term time.

    • Assembly / walkway / drop-off
    • No reachable edges
    • Out-of-term install
  • Two interlocking sand and white hyperbolic shade sails on slim stainless masts covering a dining terrace outside a low modern building

Hyperbolic paraboloid sails on slim masts — the lightest structural footprint available. Opposed curvature keeps the fabric taut, so a sail reads as a drawn line rather than a hung sheet.

    • Hypar geometry
    • Stainless rigging
    • 3, 4 and 5-point
  • Fig. — Centre-post umbrella, elevation

Cantilever and centre-post umbrellas for terraces, poolsides and forecourts. Freestanding or fixed, they cover a defined area and can be struck for wind without touching the surrounding structure.

    • Cantilever / centre-post
    • Freestanding or fixed
    • Wind-strike ready
  • Fig. — Column corner guard, plan

Impact protection on exposed column and wall returns in car parks, warehouses and loading areas. Absorbs the strike that would otherwise take a chunk out of the structure — and out of the vehicle.

    • Column and wall returns
    • High-visibility finish
    • Surface or anchor fixed
  • Fig. — Hinge-side finger guard, plan

Hinge-side and leading-edge guards that close the gap a door creates as it swings. Standard in nurseries, schools and clinics, and retrofittable to doors already hung.

    • Hinge and leading edge
    • Nursery / school / clinic
    • Retrofittable
  • Fig. — Post padding, elevation and section

Dense closed-cell padding wrapped to car park columns, play area posts and sports hall uprights. Sized to the post, fixed without fasteners in the impact zone, and cleanable.

    • Closed-cell foam
    • Sized to post
    • No fixings in impact zone

Hospitality

Hotels, resorts and restaurants — pool deck sails, dining terrace umbrellas and courtyard membranes where the structure is part of the guest experience.
