About Al Laaiq

We don't just create shade. We create better spaces.

Al Laaiq Shades Industries is a shade structure manufacturer based in the Al Sajaa Industrial Area, Sharjah. We design, engineer, fabricate and install tensile membranes, car parking shades, sail and umbrella structures, and safety products for clients across Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi.

Everything is handled by one team, from the first site survey through structural design, fabrication and installation to handover. That is deliberate: it is the only way to be answerable for how a structure performs in ten years, not just how it looks on the day it goes up.

  • 01

    Surveyed & engineered

Every structure starts on your site, not in a catalogue. We measure, check the ground and the wind, and size the frame to what is actually there.

  • 02

    In-house fabrication

Steel and membrane are cut, welded and patterned in our own Al Sajaa workshop, so tolerances are ours to hold and lead times are ours to keep.

  • 03

    Built to endure

Specified for Gulf heat, salt air and summer wind — hot-dip galvanised frames, PVDF-lacquered membranes, stainless rigging.

How we work

One team, survey to handover.

Design, fabrication and installation sit under one roof deliberately. It is the only way to be answerable for how a structure performs in ten years rather than how it looks on the day it goes up — there is nobody else to point at.

It also means the person who measured your site is reachable when a question comes up during fabrication, and the crew erecting the frame is the crew that welded it.

01

Site Survey

Every structure starts on your site, not in a catalogue. We measure the space, check the ground and the prevailing wind, and establish what is actually buildable before anyone quotes a price.

  • Measured survey of the real setting-out, not the drawing
  • Ground and footing conditions assessed on site
  • Wind exposure and orientation recorded
  • Free across Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi
02

Design & Engineering

Form-finding, structural sizing and patterning done in-house. The geometry is resolved and the frame is sized to the load case before a single component is cut.

  • Form-found membrane geometry
  • Frame and footing sized to the real load case
  • Patterns flattened with fabric compensation
  • Drawings issued for approval before fabrication
03

In-House Fabrication

Steel and membrane are cut, welded and patterned in our own Al Sajaa workshop. Tolerances are ours to hold, and lead times are ours to keep.

  • Steel cut, welded and drilled in-house
  • Membrane patterned and high-frequency welded on site
  • Hot-dip galvanising after fabrication, not before
  • No sub-contracted fabrication
04

Installation

Our own crews set out, erect and tension the structure. Phased where a car park or a school has to stay partly in use throughout.

  • Directly employed installation crews
  • Phased programmes to keep sites operational
  • Out-of-hours and out-of-term working
  • Tensioning and final adjustment on handover
05

Maintenance

Scheduled inspection and re-tensioning. A membrane relaxes over its first years, and a structure that is taken up on time lasts materially longer than one that is not.

  • Scheduled inspection visits
  • Re-tensioning of cables and turnbuckles
  • Membrane cleaning and fixing checks
  • Condition reporting with photographs
06

Repair & Refurbishment

Membrane replacement on an existing frame, storm damage repair, and refurbishment of structures we did not originally build.

  • Membrane replacement on sound existing frames
  • Storm and impact damage repair
  • Re-galvanising and frame remediation
  • Structures by other manufacturers accepted
